i've been at camp corrie for a week while my parents are in new york. it has rained every single day since i've been here. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. but the sun did finally come out for 5 minutes, and i soaked in every second of it hoping for more. camp is so much funner when i can run around outside and torture, i mean play, with the rabbits. there is only so much t.v a girl can watch.

here in vermont, they throw perfectly edible food outside on the ground for NO GOOD reason. they call it "compost." i call it a "24 hour buffet." i was feasting on yummy morsels at my leisure, until my mom wondered why i was getting chunky and she followed me out there. darn. she put a stop to that. but it was good while it lasted.

i've been at camp corrie for 2 weeks (my mom took this picture of me on our way home). i ate SO much sausage and bacon i can hardly think ! mom was NOT happy with the couple of pounds i gained. she said that if i don't lose the weight in a few weeks, i wouldn't be allowed on the plane to vermont next month. drag. i heart vermont. so, i guess it's vegetables and brown rice from now on. not that i even have a choice. that is ALL my parents ever eat. yuck. i miss camp already.

my mom told me we were going to the "happiest place on earth" for the memorial day weekend. naturally i thought we were headed to disneyland ! so you can imagine my dismay when we stopped in fresno and never went any further. i was bummed. but it was fun anyway to see my aunts and grandmama and cousins. plus i got to eat a LOT of meat.

i LOVE visiting my grandma's house. there, i have a HUGE stash of toys and i love every single one of them. my mom left me there when she went down to LA last week. i got to sleep in the bed with my grandma . . . though she wouldn't let me sleep under the covers at her feet because she thought i would stop breathing (not because of the foot smell but because of the lack of air down there) . . . so she kept pulling me up to put my head on the pillow next to hers.

one of my mom's new year's resolutions is to relax more and to not work so rigorously everyday. i am loving this. my dad jokes that my mom has never even sat on the couch before ! but she does NOW. we hang out on the couch now and she rubs my belly and she takes me for longer walks on the beach and she sleeps more and she seems nicer. i think this is going to be a really good year.

i was playing (well . . . torturing) a bee out on the balcony, and it BIT ME ! my mom found me under the bed (i was hiding, i knew something was not right) and she said my face looked like a baseball catchers mitt. she was hysterical and rushed me to the emergency room. my lips were swollen to 3 inches thick ! i was in pain and shock, but fine after a steroid shot and benadryl.

this is me after most of the swelling went down. my dad thought i looked like a camel.

they are wondering if i had learned my lesson. was the lesson that i should have bitten the bee before the bee bit me ?

we have been in vermont for one week now and to me, it is pure doggy heaven. the best part is not EVER having to wear a collar and not EVER being dragged around on a leash (and i can sleep in as long as i want). i am allowed to run in the woods on my own whenever i want to and for however long i want. and there are SO many chipmunks to chase !

this is my new cousin named talulah. she looks harmless enough, BUT . . .

during feeding time, she pulled a fast one on me. (it looks like i'm a messy eater, but i like to eat the chicken first, and all of those small round fillers just get in the way and go flying all over the place)

my mom thinks that my lips look like rubber bands. she gave me SO many lip kisses yesterday because it was valentine's day, and because she loves my lips. my dad, on the other hand, refers to my lips as "inner tubes" and he prefers to kiss me on the head. either way, i got lots of love yesterday. i hope you did too.

i am still at summer camp and loving EVERY minute of it. i am so happy here. i help my aunt in the garden and i chase the bugs away and i play with my cousins and i eat a LOT of yummy food. i love the country. but still, i AM ready to see my mom and to get back to my city life . . . just 4 more days.

this is my studio mate named kitty. she is so nice and has a giant bed that i much prefer over my little cushion. she lets me sleep in her bed whenever i want. i introduced her to bully sticks and i think she really likes them ! just look at her go !!!!

and this 8 week old boy is my newest studio mate named hairy potter. he is just a baby and i haven't even MET him yet because he isn't allowed near strange dogs (meaning ME) until he is 3 months old. but i think we will become great friends.

my auntie valerie sent me some sushi from oregon. i'm usually a meat and potatoes kind of gal, but i thought i would give it a try, as my mom says she could eat sushi ALL day long . . .

i started with a tuna roll . . . not bad ! it was actually seriously delicious. i ended up eating the entire box of sushi and wanting more. who knew ?

my grandmama found this funny looking dog on the street. she had no collar on and acted as if she hadn't eaten in months. grandma kept her overnight and put ads out to see if anyone would claim her. we were all calling her ugly betty . . . you can see why.

she was sort of nice, but i didn't care for the way she looked at me. and they were all making such a big fuss over this little lump of a dog. luckily, for the both of us, the owners came forth the next day. turns out she lives just 3 houses away !!! it was a close call, as grandma would have kept her . . . but, bye-bye betty !!!
